  Definitely not a good idea to get our carpet from this store! Although we were treated very well up until we had purchased the carpet, we received very poor after service. From being initially told that our carpet would be delivered and put down on the Thursday (or Saturday at the latest) after paying for it on Saturday 8th Feb 2014, we were then told that it would not be available until Tuesday 18th Feb - I had to phone the store to get this information as they did not bother to contact us. The carpet fitters arrived at just after 3pm on Tuesday - again I had to contact the store to find out that they would be with me between 2 and 4pm, as the staff at the store did not seem to think it important to let me know this. It took a little over an hour to fit the carpet to the stairs and landing, and it all looked very good when they finished so I paid the fitting fee as agreed. Shortly after they left, my husband went upstairs and realised that we could not shut two of the four doors. We phoned the store to be told that we would have to pay an additional sum of £25.00 to have the bottom of the doors shaved off, and they would let us know when the fitters would be with us the next day - one of the doors was the bathroom door so that was popular with everyone in the house! The fitters arrived at 2pm today, and had left by 2.15pm, nice work for £25.00! We have paid over £400.00 to have our stairs and landing carpeted. It looks really nice but it would have been so much better if we had been treated properly by the store and by the fitters. It is not enough to say that they did not think to try to close the doors before they left - surely that should be a necessary part of the procedure.
