  I had a bad experience at Tippers uttoxeter due to a poor lack of judgement and understanding of the products that are sold. I'll explain. I purchased a 2.5 litre tin of primer paint from the Tippers store In Litchfield, unfortunately I bought a solvent based undercoat which was not suitable for water based top coat. As I live nearer to the uttoxeter store I returned the unopened tin of primer to the Uttoxeter store. I explained the situation to the young guy at the counter and he offered me a refund. At this point an older guy got involved and said don't give a refund yet and he took the tin away to where the paints are stored. The young guy at the counter said " I don't know what he's doing as he is shaking the tin about " the older guy returned and said you can't have a refund cause he said " I've opened the tin and it's not white " I pointed to the tin which stated that the primer label said Mid Range colour. The older said you'll have to take it back to Lichfield cause it's been mixed. I said why this is Tippers why should I have to travel from Uttoxeter to Lichfield. I didn't get it mixed I bought it off the shelf. The older guy obviously didn't understand that Tippers sell a mid range primer and thought that I had requesteted for it to be mixed. He wouldn't give me a refund so I asked the young guy to ring Lichfield store and it was sorted. I was in the store for over half an hour on something that could have been sorted in less than 2 minutes. The young guy was excellent but the older guy was useless. He needs retraining on customer service and product knowledge.
